Our mission

The goal of the University Fencing Club is to encourage and develop the skills and knowledge of those who love fencing. During training, we pay special attention to technical and tactical elements, as well as to the development of physical and mental fitness.

Competitor

Holds a blue book and a medical certificate.
Has a contract with the sports department.

Our department focuses on university fencing and the development of the next generation. Of course, we also cater to recreational fencers and veterans, and we prepare for competitions with the most modern equipment.

István Ödön Szórády

Fencing Coach, Armorer

I am currently fencing at the University Fencing Club, where I also serve as an armorer and actively participate in the daily life of the fencing hall. Fencing is never boring! One can easily become addicted, but it's a healthy passion!

Fencing Coach

I first started working with veterans, and since January 2024, I have also been conducting training sessions for youth (sports school), in English if needed. In addition to épée, I also offer foil lessons when required.

I visited the University Fencing Club, and my experience there exceeded all my expectations. It is the only fencing hall in Hungary where sports enthusiasts can learn with the most modern technology, including wireless fencing. The team members were very kind and helpful, and during the training, they placed great emphasis on safety and mastering proper technique.
